New report: Fire safety during construction and rehabilitation of buildings

New report on fire requirements for materials and products on petroleum offshore facilities.

In 2008 we issued the Norwegian report Branntekniske krav til materialer offshore ("Requirements to reaction-to-fire properties in offshore applications"), where recommendations on fire test methods and acceptance criteria were given for materials in different applications. Since then regulations and standards have been revised and there has been a need for a revision of the report from 2008. We have also received several requests for an English version.

We are now happy to present the report (Recommendations for documentation of reaction-to-fire properties of materials offshore), which is a revised and extended version of the report from 2008.

The report gives guidelines and recommendations for how materials on petroleum offshore facilities should be documented and assessed with respect to reaction-to-fire properties. The guidelines are developed in accordance with the relevant Norwegian set of rules, with the intention to supplement and clarify the regulations.

The report can be downloaded here .
